Event tip "SMART CITIES, SMART REGIONS" Simul +Forum

May 23, 2022 3:16:58 PM

Our cities and regions are facing huge challenges: The ongoing economic transformation, the necessity to cut greenhouse gas emissions or ensuring mobility in remote areas are some examples. However, we are convinced that by working together and by using smart solutions we can shape a bright future.

How this “smart future” will look like at our international simul+ forum "SMART CITIES, SMART REGIONS". The Latin word „simul“ means „together“ and the forum is part of a journey where the participants work together to achieve common goals aiming at digitalised climate-friendly urban-rural development.

The aim of the two days is to learn from those cities and regions in Europe that have already taken ambitious steps towards becoming digital and climate neutral. Let us join forces to develop innovative ideas and put them into practice. In line with the mission of simul+ we pursue an interdisciplinary approach and we want to bring together actors from different areas of economy, science and administration.

A look at research and practice shows that the use of digital tools alone can have a major impact. It is our great pleasure to invite you to the two-day event, with a rich agenda of national and international speakers, round tables and many possibilities for networking, exchange of ideas and experiences.

With our forum, we want to strengthen international networking on the topics of digital and climate-friendly regional development. The big goal is to learn together from the experiences of those who are very far along the path to digital and climate-friendly cities and regions. The forum also offers numerous networking opportunities to develop joint project ideas. During the presentations and at special stands, there will also be the opportunity to find out about possible funding from European funds. All representatives of the municipalities as well as from business and science are cordially invited. Conference languages will be Polish, English, and German.

The forum will take place from June 8th - 9th, 2022, in Leipzig. Please register in advance to take part.
