In the fields of construction and intralogistics, where precision and efficiency are essential, the integration of new technology has the potential to transform operations. This article explores a recent collaborative initiative involving AWM Budownictwo S.A., K2 Storage Systems, and the SpinLab startup Hustro, specializing in construction management software. Supported by EDIH Saxony, this project exemplifies a strategic partnership aimed at transforming quality management practices within these industries.

The Collaboration: A Strategic Overview

At its core, this collaborative effort aimed to introduce and rigorously test quality control aspects of Hustro’s software during the execution and service phases of real-life construction and intralogistics projects. The primary objective was to standardize and simplify communication across diverse construction scenarios, thereby enhancing project efficiency and outcomes. Moreover, the international project sought to cultivate an innovative mindset among participating partners, fostering knowledge sharing and driving industry-wide advancements.

Implementing Innovation: The Journey

Under the expert guidance of trainers from Hustro, teams from AWM Budownictwo S.A. and K2 Storage Systems embraced the software solution over an intense two-month period. This endeavor commenced with a series of workshops and audits, setting the stage for a structured and agile implementation process. Adopting a sprint-based approach, the teams focused on continuous improvement, aligning with industry best practices to optimize project workflows.

Real-world Testing and Application

The project rigorously tested five distinct site scenarios, spanning residential, public utility, and storage projects across Poland and France. Notably, K2 Storage Systems successfully implemented Hustro’s software on 13 projects, uncovering novel applications such as material delivery management. By integrating quality control with works management, the team of K2 Storage achieved notable improvements in work effectiveness and responsiveness to challenges. Beata Antosz, CEO of K2 Storage Systems, emphasized the software's pivotal role in process optimization and heightened efficiency.

Similarly, AWM Budownictwo S.A. applied Hustro on 7 projects, witnessing tangible enhancements in service and technical acceptance processes. The inclusion of over 400 subcontractors within the system facilitated streamlined communication, particularly between clients, contractors, and subcontractors. Positive feedback from Kamil Wójcik, the Service Department Head, underscored the software's efficacy in enhancing work quality and client satisfaction.

Assessing Success: Insights and Feedback

Towards the project's conclusion, representatives from K2 Storage Systems and AWM Budownictwo S.A. participated in an anonymous Net Promoter Score testing, yielding a commendable score of 57. Notably, respondents expressed a strong likelihood of recommending Hustro’s construction management software, affirming its value in enhancing project management practices. However, user feedback highlighted a need for additional training, particularly among subcontractors, to maximize the software's potential.

Paving the Way for Future Innovations

Beyond its immediate achievements, this collaboration signifies a paradigm shift in construction and intralogistics. As industries poised for significant evolution, the integration of technology transcends mere necessity—it becomes a strategic imperative. The partnership between AWM Budownictwo S.A., K2 Storage Systems, and Hustro exemplifies the potential of construction management software as a catalyst for improved communication, streamlined processes, and superior project outcomes.

Embracing Technological Evolution

This collaboration not only paved the way for a more efficient and technologically advanced future but also illustrates the rapid adoption of innovative software solutions within traditionally conservative industries. As noted by Ernest Szydelski, CEO of Hustro, this project demonstrates the feasibility of implementing high-quality and ESG standards efficiently. It underscores the transformative power of technology in driving sustainable growth and operational excellence within construction and intralogistics.

Conclusion: A Vision for Industry Transformation

In summary, the collaborative integration of quality management software heralds a new era in construction and intralogistics. By embracing technology-driven solutions and fostering strategic partnerships through corporate innovation services such as offered by SpinLab, SMEs can navigate industry challenges with agility and innovation. As the narrative of these industries continues to evolve, the adoption of transformative technologies remains instrumental in driving progress and achieving unparalleled efficiency and excellence.
